This Alberta diamond inclusion dataset includes electron microprobe analyses of garnet, clinopyroxene, olivine, ferropericlase and rutile inclusions from diamonds sampled by the Buffalo Head Hills kimberlite field. The data are compiled from Davies et al. (2004) and Banas (2006). A breakdown of the grains probed and their paragenesis include
16 garnet (eclogite, peridotite, wehrlite)
16 clinopyroxene (eclogite, peridotite, websterite)
13 olivine (periodotite)
1 rutile (eclogite)
1 ferropericlase (peridotite)

The Alberta Diamond Inclusion dataset consists of a series of worksheets within an excel spreadsheet was used to display microprobe analyses for garnet, clinopyroxene, olivine, ferropericlase and rutile diamond inclusions sampled by the Buffalo Head Hills kimberlite field.
The data within the spreadsheet was later normalized and then transferred into a database for the purpose of creating metadata. During this process there were certain aspects of the dataset that were modified to in order to deal with lower detection limits for specific elements and to establish primary keys.
