You will need a GIS application or ESRI's free GIS viewer to look at the contents of these shapefiles.

Below is a list of Alberta lakes with links to digital bathymetry GIS data. We captured the data from historic hydrographic survey maps that we digitized and digitally modelled to produce a continuous surface for each lakebed. Three files make up the dataset for each of the 169 lakes: a shoreline contours shapefile, a bathymetry contours shapefile, and an ASCII grid of the lakebed.
