This tabular dataset provides the locations of landslides in Alberta where the timing of movement is approximately known and has occurred within the historical time period (during the past 50–100 years approximately). The data represent point locations that were compiled from several data sources including Alberta Transportation geotechnical reports, pipeline incidents ascribed to slope failures, published articles and theses, and open data from the City of Edmonton. The locations also include landslide motion detections from interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) ground deformation results from Sentinel-1 SAR acquired from 2017–2021, and landslides observed from sets of multi-temporal imagery, including openly available Google Earth and Bing imagery, as well as high-resolution orthophotos acquired in 2000–2001 and SPOT 6/7 data acquired between 2013 and 2020.
