This digital data release includes bulk mineralogy data from powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses of igneous and metamorphic rock samples from northeastern Alberta. These samples represent a subset of the Godfrey collection, archived at the Alberta Energy Regulator / Alberta Geological Survey (AER/AGS) Mineral Core Research Facility, which comprises samples collected from the Athabasca Basin and Canadian Shield for past Alberta Geological Survey projects. The samples presented here were previously analyzed for whole-rock lithogeochemistry, and were selected for XRD analysis based on their chemical compositions, geospatial locations, and source map units. This dataset includes samples sourced from the following units from AGS Map 537: Andrew Lake granodiorite, Arch Lake granitoid, Burntwood complex, Charles Lake granitoid, Chipewyan granite, Colin Lake granitoid, Fair Point Formation, Fishing Creek granodiorite, Francis granite, La Butte granodiorite, Rutledge River complex, Slave granitoid, Taltson basement complex, Thesis Lake granite, Waugh Lake complex, and Wylie Lake granodiorite. This work was completed under the Mineral Grant provided by the Government of Alberta June 22, 2021.
