Coal Chemistry and Coal Quality Data from Drilling Programs in the Plains Area of Alberta 1974-1980

Although considerable care has been taken in editing the computer file containing this data, errors or omissions may still be present. The original analyses results are stored in the well files of the Coal Geology Group, Geological Survey Department.

The coal zone from which the coal sample was taken, was determined by using existing cross-sections from Alberta Research Council reports. Correlation in these cross-sections as well as correlations of testholes not included in the cross-sections were made with care. However, errors in these correlations may exist.
