Detailed Soil Survey of the Acme Area

As an aid to urban planning, a detailed soil survey was carried out in 1976 on approximately 780 hectares (1, 920) acres in the vicinity of Acme, Alberta. These surveys and reports indicate the geographic location of the soil, describe pertinent chemical, morphological and physical properties of the soils and present soil interpretations for selected uses. Fourteen soil units were mapped on six different parent materials.
