Maintenance Outage Notice

The Alberta Township System (ATS) conversion tools and public map viewers on the AER and AGS websites will be unavailable from 7 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, until 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2026, while maintenance is performed.
These tools will convert Alberta Township System (ATS), Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), and latitude/longitude (geographic degrees) to other co-ordinates.
- Convert Alberta Township System (ATS) to geographic degrees
- Convert Alberta Township System (ATS) to geographic degrees using unique well identifier order (UWI)
- Convert Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) to Alberta Township System (ATS)
- Convert 10 Degree Transverse Mercator (10TM AEP Forest) to Alberta Township System (ATS)
- Convert latitude/longitude to Alberta Township System (ATS)
NOTE: Alberta Township System LSDs are approximated without considering road allowances. Conversions are based on version 4.1 of the digital ATS grid (NAD83).
