This dataset comprises the results (scores) of the aquifer indication analysis at each well location for the Leduc Formation, the combined Swan Hills and Slave Point formations, and the Granite Wash in Alberta. The analysis included water recovery data from drillstem tests, water-production rates, and information on hydrocarbon-water contacts and wet wells (water-saturated) from the AER corporate database. For each data source, scoring criteria were established and a score was assigned at each location. Scores from all data sources at each location were merged, and a final aquifer indication score from 1 (low) to 4 (very high) was assigned.
This digital data product is part of the Geothermal Atlas of Alberta, developed under the Mineral Grant provided by the Government of Alberta.
