Abstract
This map shows 161 sand and gravel deposits classified by relative economic potential. The relative economic potential of each deposit is ranked using a combination of 6 unequally weighted geological factors and several subdivisions. The factors are: predominant material, deposit thickness, overburden thickness, potential for water table problems, material variability, deposit area, and are described in more detail in the map notes. Ten tables on the map summarize various statistics about the deposits and their economic potential.
