Regional Resource Compilation Mapping - West Castle Rivers of southwestern Alberta, parts of NTS mapsheets 82H/4, 82G/1 and 82G/8.

The objective of the Regional Resource Compilation Mapping - West Castle Area of Southern Alberta covering parts of NTS 84H/4, 82G/1 and 82G/8 is to illustrate its diversified resources potentials, exploration activities, Eastern Slopes Zoning and geological setting. Data compiled includes oil and gas well locations, leases and licenses; natural gas field and agreements, mineral occurrences and agreements, coal development potentials, Eastern Slopse Zone classifications. These data are converted into GIS dataset for storage, maintenance and spatial analysis. Final map product includes a 1:50 000 scale map showing coal-bearing geology, oil and gas exploration activities, and metallogenic occurrences; and a series of 1:250 000 inset maps highlighting Eastern Slopes Zoning, metallic minerals, oil and gas fields, and coal resource.
