Abstract

This report summarizes geological and groundwater studies carried out over 22,500 square miles of the Peace River region of Alberta between 1951 and 1983. The bulletin includes an extensive chapter on the municipal water supplies of the larger communities plus information on the supplies of some smaller communities relying on groundwater. Particular attention is given to the supplies for Beaverlodge, Fairview, Grande Prairie, and High Prairie, for which a great deal of geological and hydrologic data have been gathered and analyzed.
