Abstract
The Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) has conducted an in-place lithium resource assessment for Alberta. The most prospective geological unit is the Devonian Leduc Formation, followed by the Devonian Swan Hills / Slave Point and Nisku formations. Using a 50 mg/L minimum concentration, the in-place resource was estimated at 82.5 million tonnes lithium carbonate equivalent. Additional geological units may be become prospective with the addition of more data.
