Abstract

This dataset comprises modelled elevation surfaces of Quaternary sediment units in the North Athabasca Oil Sands (NAOS) region in northeastern Alberta. These include the basal sand units in the Willow, Birch, and Alder buried channels on the McKay Plain, as well as the Pemmican valley on Muskeg Mountain. On the north bank of the Clearwater River is a  broad basal Steepbank sand unit. A clay unit and overlying sand are also modelled for this area. Till units 1 though 5, identified in core by previous work, were modelled for Muskeg Mountain. A near-surface sand unit was also modelled.
