This digital data release contains the results of a targeted field investigation conducted by the Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) in the Crowsnest Pass region of southwestern Alberta during August 2024. The program focused on characterizing known carbonate-hosted base and precious metal mineral occurrences, investigating geochemical anomalies within Paleozoic strata identified in historical reports, and collecting stream sediment samples to investigate possible base metal mineralization in 1st and 2nd order streams, upstream from previously identified anomalies. Data products include lithogeochemical analyses, stream sediment geochemistry, detailed geological observations from outcrop, and detailed observations from stream sediment sample locations. Bedrock structural measurements were recorded to assess controls on mineralization. Stream sediment samples were collected using standardized Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) protocols. This release supports ongoing efforts to delineate mineral systems in the region and provides foundational data for future mapping, modelling, and exploration initiatives.
This work was completed under the Mineral Grant provided by the Government of Alberta, June 22, 2021.
