Abstract
This map shows and describes the geology of the Jasper area of Alberta. Ages range from Precambrian to Upper Paleozoic, but the map focuses on the Precambrian Old Fort Point and Wynd Formations, and Lower Cambrian Jasper Formation. Units younger than Lower Cambrian are not sub-divided. Recent sand and gravel deposits are also indicated on the map.
This map accompanies Research Council of Alberta Bulletin 23, Precambrian Geology of the Jasper Region, Alberta.
