Abstract

This is an index of uranium assessment reports for northeastern Alberta. Most mineral exploration in the province is conducted by permits that are issued by the Alberta Department of Energy and Natural Resources. These permits, as defined by the Mines and Minerals Act and Regulations, require the company to submit an exploration report. The reports are held confidential for one year from the expiration of a permit or for five years if the permit goes to lease.

The Alberta Geological Survey serves as a repository for the assessment reports. Those reports that are no longer confidential may be viewed at the Survey's offices. This index has been prepared from GEODIAL, a computerized, publicly available online, data base of geoscience reports in Alberta. Part one is organized by permit number, part two by location. As uranium exploration tends to be cyclical in nature this index will be updated as required.
